Stone that outlives the house. Cut to a half millimetre.

Veinstone cuts, polishes and installs granite and quartz countertops from our own slab yard. You pick the exact slab. We laser-template your kitchen. Nine days later it is installed, sealed and done.

01Why Veinstone

Most fabricators sell samples. We sell the exact slab.

A 10 cm sample cannot show you a two metre vein. Every Veinstone job starts in our yard, in front of the full slab, with the layout drawn on the stone before a blade ever touches it.

A.

You approve the vein layout before we cut

We photograph your chosen slab, overlay your countertop template on it digitally, and send you the exact layout: where the vein crosses the island, where the seam falls, what ends up behind the hob. Nothing is cut until you sign it off. No surprises on install day, ever.

B.

Laser templating, ±0.5 mm

Our technician measures your cabinets with a laser templator, not a tape measure. Out-of-square walls and bowed runs are captured and compensated in the cut file.

C.

CNC cutting and polishing in-house

Sawjet cutting, CNC edge profiling and 3,000-grit polishing all happen in our own shop. No subcontracted fabrication, no finger-pointing when something matters.

D.

Seams you have to hunt for

Colour-matched epoxy, vein-matched joins and vacuum seam-setters pull joints tight to under a millimetre. Our installers carry 14 pigments on the van.

E.

15-year fabrication warranty

Seams, anchoring, sink mounts and edge work are covered for 15 years in writing. Stone is forever; our workmanship warranty is the next best thing.

05Template to Install

Nine days. Here is every one of them.

No vague "4 to 6 weeks". You get this schedule in writing with your quote, and your project manager texts you at every step.

Day 0

Slab tagged & deposit

You pick your slab in the yard, we tag it with your name and take a 30% deposit. The slab is off the market from this minute.

Day 1

Laser template

Our templator captures your cabinets to ±0.5 mm, confirms overhangs, sink model, hob cut-out and seam positions with you on site.

Day 2

Digital layout approval

You receive the template overlaid on a photo of your actual slab. Move the seams, rotate the vein, approve it from your phone.

Days 3–5

Sawjet & CNC

Cutting, sink and tap holes, edge profiling. Undermount sink rails are bonded and cured for a full 24 hours.

Days 6–7

Polish & quality gate

Hand polishing to 3,000 grit, then a supervisor inspection under raking light. Anything below spec is re-run, not shipped.

Days 8–9

Install & seal

A two-person crew sets, seams, mounts your sink and applies penetrating sealer. Most kitchens are plumbable the same evening.

06Word of Mouth

6,200 kitchens. Same standard every time.

★★★★★
"They photographed our slab, laid the template over the picture, and let us move the seam so the big grey vein ran the length of the island unbroken. Nobody else even offered that. The install crew was in and out in four hours and I still cannot find the seam."
Dana WhitfieldFull kitchen, Magma Vein granite
★★★★★
"Quoted on Tuesday, templated Thursday, installed the following Friday. Nine days, exactly as the schedule said. Contractors, take notes."
Marcus OyelaranHarbour Fog quartz, waterfall island
★★★★★
"We build 30 homes a year and Veinstone does every countertop. In six years they have missed one date, and they called two days ahead to tell us."
Priya RamanRaman Custom Homes, trade account
★★★★★
"A pot straight off the burner, red wine overnight, my kids' science projects. Three years on the Basalt Night still looks like install day."

08Care Instructions

Owning stone is easy. Here is the whole manual.

Every install leaves with this card magnet-mounted inside a cabinet door. Follow it and your warranty never has an argument to make.

Daily: warm water, mild soap

A soft cloth and dish soap handles 99% of life. Skip vinegar, bleach and abrasive powders; they dull sealer on granite and can haze quartz resin.

Spills: blot within the hour

Wine, coffee, oil and curry are no drama if blotted, not wiped, reasonably soon. Sealed granite gives you a wide window; quartz barely cares at all.

Heat: trivets for quartz, always

Granite tolerates a hot pot; quartz resin does not above roughly 150 °C and can whiten permanently. One rule for both stones keeps you safe: use the trivet.

Sealing: granite yearly, quartz never

Drip water on granite; if it stops beading, it is time. We include one free re-seal visit in year one and sell the same sealer we use at cost.

Knives: use a board, for the knife's sake

You will not hurt granite or quartz by cutting on it. You will destroy your knife edge. The stone wins that fight every single time.

Chips or marks: call us first

A chipped edge or a stubborn mark is usually a 40-minute field repair with colour-matched resin. Warranty work is free; out-of-warranty repairs are flat-rate $120.

09Questions, Answered Straight

FAQ

Granite or quartz: which should I choose?
Granite is natural, one-of-a-kind and the more heat-proof of the two; it needs a yearly wipe-on sealer. Quartz is engineered, extremely stain-resistant and consistent from sample to slab; it needs trivets under hot pans. In the yard we will put your shortlist side by side under kitchen-temperature lighting and let the stone argue for itself.
How much does an average kitchen cost?
A typical 45 sq ft kitchen runs $2,200 to $3,100 in our Builder tier and $3,000 to $4,300 in Signature, fully installed. Islands with waterfall ends and exotic lots go up from there. Your quote is fixed once we template; there are no measure-day surprises.
Do you remove and dispose of my old countertops?
Yes. Tear-out of laminate or tile tops is $350 flat for most kitchens, done the morning of install, hauled away the same day. Existing stone removal is quoted after a photo because weight and anchoring vary.
Where will the seams be?
You will know before we cut. Seam positions are shown on your digital layout for approval, placed at sink centres or low-sightline runs wherever the slab allows. Runs under 3 metres are usually seam-free in 3 cm stone.
Do I need to be home for templating and install?
For templating, yes; we confirm overhangs, sink and tap positions with you in person and it takes about 45 minutes. For install, anyone over 18 can let the crew in, and your project manager sends photos as the work is signed off.
What does the 15-year warranty actually cover?
Everything we did with our hands: seams opening or discolouring, sink anchoring, edge and polish defects, and installation-caused cracks. It does not cover impact damage or stains from unsealed spills left for days. It is written in plain English on one page and transfers if you sell the house.
